Our Weekend

On Friday, Tom took the day off from work and he was not even sick!   I can think of one time he stayed home from work since we have been married and that was because he was sick and running a fever.  Tom is a worker!  So because he doesn't miss days that means he is never home when the kids leave for school.  He has always left for work before they leave and usually before they even wake up.  So when they woke up Friday they were so excited!  He made breakfast for everyone and even did the dishes on his day off :)  Its was so nice having him home.  We spent the whole day together. So, after we took the kids to school our plan was to drop the van off to get the tires rotated {so we could drive to the temple} and then take the truck to go do something fun.  Turned out we needed all new tires!  So, we decided since the van has 200,000 miles and needs a few repairs, especially before we drive it any long distance, we would go look at vans.  So, we test drove one and looked at a few. That was all we had time for until it was time to pick up the kids.  So we left for DC and borrowed mom and dads car.  We stayed at the Marriot and had a great time.

Our view from the interstate leaving the Temple.  As always, it was nice to be in the temple and to be able to sit and ponder life.  We did the names Gary had given us a while back.  I  did Emma Yunker and Tom did August Yunker.  I am glad we had the opportunity to go.  We will not wait so long before we go next time.  The kids are always so excited to see the temple and watch the videos in the visitors center.  I must say I love watching them too!
