Today Henley pitched the first inning. He did great! He also slid into home plate for the first time. To bad I didn't get it on camera! He was so proud he slid! He's been working on it.
Better Late Than Never!
This after noon we took the kids to the Humane Society to give them the money they raised LAST SUMMER at our bake sale. Last summer the girls {May, Hallie, Jordan, and Kendall} decided they wanted to have a bake sale and raise money for the animal shelter. So, all us moms baked all different types of cookies and brownies and set up a little table one Saturday morning right at the entrance of Jamestown 1607. The Higgonbothams came to help too! It was so fun! The kids actually raised about $45 just by selling cookies! Some guy on a bike donated like $15! They were quite the salesmen yelling and trying to get people to come over. Of course grandma and grandpa came to purchase goods and dad brought a huge cooler of water bottles for the girls. Tom and the boys were at the father son camp out so they didn't get to join in all the fun! Since it has been so long and it is hard to get the girls all together we decided to just take it in. Hallie gave it to the lady and explained that they had raised money for the shelter by having a bake sale. It was cute.
So proud of you guys! Good job!! Tom used to love to slid into the bases too! His uniform was filthy after every game!! He was so proud......boys.....they just love to be dirty!! :)
