Best Neighbors in the World

 Rick and Maureen
Dave

When we lived on Burnham Road {in dads house} we had the very best neighbors you could ever have. On most days we would hang out in the yard with them. Some days we would help Rick do yard work, watch him clean fish and chop their heads off{the kids loved that}, have cookouts but mostly we just sat around talking. One night it was Dave's birthday so we went up to the store at like 10:00 pm and got him a slice of cheesecake. Then the kids knocked on the door and sang happy birthday to him. It made his day! One day I was waiting at the bus stop with May and it was raining and we didn't have an umbrella so from a distance I could see Dave walking up the street with an umbrella for us. That is the kind of neighbors they were. Tom loved talking to Rick about hunting and fishing and Dave about work. They would talk for hours sometimes. Rick passed away this year and we were able to go to his funeral. I'm glad we were able to know him.
