After moving 15 times in 12 years (no joke 15 times, Erin just counted) we have finally decided to put down some roots. After looking at a few homes in the area, and comparing the price to buy vs build, we have decided to build. Here is a picture of the design we chose.
The sketch below is what ours will look like. We went with the siding instead of the brick front. This house wasn't our first pick, but ended up choosing it because it provides the most square feet for the cost.
The surveyors and the soils engineer were out last week. Jack was infatuated with the robotic total station. He liked when the total station moved on its own to locate the surveyor's rod. Maybe he will be an engineer like me. - Tom
